Aquafit named NSW Winner in 2011 Australian Health and Fitness Industry Awards

Local fitness business, Aquafit Fitness and Leisure has been named as the NSW winner of the Fitness Business of the Year, over 2000 members, in the 2011 Health and Fitness Industry Awards.

Aquafit Fitness and Leisure will now be judged against fellow state winners from across Australia in their bid to win the national award, which will be announced at a Gala Dinner in Brisbane on 14 October.

Aquafit General Manager Kristen Green says "We are honored to receive this award and to be acknowledged as the best Fitness Business in NSW, - the highest accolade within the Fitness Industry. We are proud to be part of the Macarthur community and value the role we play in making a difference in people’s lives”.

Aquafit provides a non intimidating, comfortable and welcoming environment with "5 Star" standard facilities, staff presentation and service. Aquafit’s focus is to ensure members have an "experience" rather than just a "gym visit" by building strong relationships with members and providing a diverse range of programs for all ages.

The award submission by Aquafit included an innovative YouTube clip titled “It’s a Fitness Life” which showcases their facilities, programs, members and staff set to its own Rap theme song. See the clip for yourself on Aquafits YouTube Channel.

The Health and Fitness Industry Awards organised by national health and fitness industry association, Fitness Australia, awards excellence within the industry and celebrates the outstanding contributions of individuals and businesses. Award winners must demonstrate excellence in quality service, customer care, commitment to industry standards, professionalism and safety.

“The Awards recognise those at the top of their profession who go above and beyond expectation for their clientele. Through new initiatives, hard work and a passion for health and fitness, these are the individuals who deliver a great service within their community and are a credit to the fitness industry,” said Lauretta Stace, CEO, Fitness Australia.

Over 300 leading Australian exercise professionals and businesses will attend the Awards Gala Dinner on Friday October 14 at the Hilton Hotel, Brisbane. This year, Fitness Australia will celebrate the achievements of the National finalists and winners as well as celebrating a decade of growth, development and transformation in the Fitness Industry.
